Title : Immediate tooth replacement in the aesthetic area
Abstract : Successful implant therapy is based on the complete integration of healthy, aesthetic peri-implant tissues surrounding the prosthesis. Partial extraction therapies (PETs) are pre-collapse interventions to preserve the bone and surrounding tissues, reducing the need for further procedures. Preservation of the periodontal ligament and its microcapillary network provides a primary blood supply to the poorly vascularized cortical bone on the buccal and coronal surfaces, facilitating immediate and predictable dental implant placement and provisional restoration with a lower morbidity rate than conventional protocols. This makes it the adequated technique for aesthetic treatment of the upper jaw.
